FILMS IN TIFF’S AGORA AT THE 64th BERLINALE International Competition STRATOS the new film by Yannis Economidis is selected for the International Competition of the 64th Berlin Film Festival. The film is a co-production between Greece, Germany, Cyprus (Christos V. Konstantakopoulos - Faliro House Productions, Panagiotis Papahadzis - Argonauts Productions, Michael Weber - The Match Factory and Yannis Economidis - Y.E Films) in co-production with Feelgood Entertainment, Hellenic Public Radio Television, Film Advisory Board of Cyprus and the support of Eurimages, Greek Film Center and Film-und Medienstiftung NRW. A sneak pick of 5 minute material were screened at the Thessaloniki Agora Works in Progress last November. Forum AT HOME by Athanasios Karanikolas is selected at this year’s Forum section. A co-production between Greece (Argyris Papadimitropoulos - Oxymoron Films) and Germany (Lasse Sharpen - SHPN 3 Filmproduktion) and with the support of ZDF and the Greek Film Centre. The film was presented at the Thessaloniki Agora Works in Progress in November 2013. SEABURNERS by Melisa Onel, produced by Yamac Okur and Asli Erdem (Bulut Film), and co-produced by Yedi Film & Melisa Fatma Onel Tecimen, Turkey. This first feature by photographer Melisa Onel was presented in the Crossroads Co-production Forum in 2011 and in the Agora Works in Progress in 2012 where it won the Graal Post-production Award and was able to complete the film in Greece. Panorama STANDING ASIDE, WATCHING by Yorgos Servetas produced by Fenia Cossovitsa (Blonde S.A) and Konstantinos Kontovrakis (Heretic) and co-produced by ERT S.A., Feelgood Entertainement, Two Thirty Five Inc. and Stefi Productions. The film was presented as a project in Crossroads Co-production Forum 2011. Short films – Generation 14plus SCHOOLYARD by Rinio Dragasaki (Guanaco), Greece. Rinio Dragasaki is preparing her first feature film The Girl Next Door (Blonde S.A & Heretic) with France, which was presented in the Crossroads Co-production Forum of the Thessaloniki IFF November 2013. 2 Greek projects are selected at this year's Berlin Co-production Market. - The project HAPPY BIRTHDAY by Christos Georgiou (Greece, Germany, Cyprus) has also participated at the Balkan Fund and the Crossroads Co-production Forum of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival. It is the third feature film of Greek Cypriot director Christos Georgiou and his second with his co-producer Thanassis Karathanos of Twenty Twenty Vision (Germany). - The project SON OF SOFIA by Elina Psykou is selected through the Berlinale Residency 2013 | 2014 program and is a co-production between Greece (Heretic), Germany (NiKo Film) and Croatia (Kinorama). Elina participated with her first feature film The Eternal Return of Antonis Paraskevas at the Forum of the Berlin Film Festival 2013 and the Thessaloniki International Competition 2013.
