Pablo Larraín

Born in Santiago, Chile in 1976, Pablo Larraín is a director, producer and screenwriter. Following his multi-award-winning drama Fuga (2006), he focused intensively on the Pinochet dictatorship in films including Tony Manero (2008), Post Mortem (2010), and ¡NO! (2012). Tony Manero premiered at Cannes in 2008 and later won the KNF prize in Rotterdam. His film El Club (2015) met with great worldwide success (including a Silver Bear at the Berlinale). In 2016 he released two biographical films, Neruda, about the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, and his English-language debut Jackie, about Jackie Kennedy Onassis, a film that has won many prizes and has been nominated for both a Golden Globe and an Oscar.. In 2019 he returned to Santiago, Chile, for Ema, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
