Chile, early 20th century. Pedro is a photographer who travels to a frigid and far-out island in the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, commissioned by a local landowner to photograph his wedding ceremony. Upon his arrival, Pedro finds out that the bride is practically a child and becomes overwhelmed by a father-like infatuation over the young girl. As soon as his illicit obsession is revealed, Pedro is blackmailed into joining a military movement with aims to wipe out the region’s natives and seize their land. A politically charged thriller that navigates through one of the darkest and bloodiest pages in the country’s history.
