Frozen Time

The Cyprus Dispute is one of the darkest pages of Μodern Greek history. It is difficult to assess what happened in Cyprus and to attribute responsibilities to those who were involved in one way or another in what is commonly known as the betrayal of Cyprus, sincemany aspects of this case are hidden under a veil of guilty silence. After the end of the war in Cyprus in 1974, subsequent Greek governments showed disdain for Greek soldiers and officers who participated in the war, and treated them with enmity.
