Olive Oil, a Little Water, a Peeled tomato...

Cooking is more than the art of making a tasty dish; it is giving one’s time for others, passing on traditions, nourishing and bringing people together. Aleia from Egypt, Begonia from Spain, Maria, Valli and toula from Greece, and Suad and Samia from tunisia have been invited for the day to a Greek island to prepare their national specialties. Off they go with their pots and pans, children and husbands in tow. Beyond the preparations, the relationships they create with each other are the very image of Mediterranean cooking: an affair among cousins, where some love and others ignore each other. Just like a recipe, the meal is a mixing of all of those ingredients.
