The story of a romantic adventure against the background of Athens' working-class neighborhoods (from Perama to Bournazi) and the stormy winter sea. A prison inmate serving a sentence for petty theft gets out on a 48-hour leave and falls in love with a young hooker who leaves her pimp. With no money, no house, with a stolen car as their only possession, the girl, the inmate and his younger brother try to survive in harsh everyday existence The thirst for life, youthful boldness but, above all, love which delays his return to prison, force the three young people to test the painful limits of the law and prevailing morality
