SHORT SHARP SHOCK

This is the gritty story of three young men in multi-ethnic Hamburg, whose friendship is tested in the city's criminal milieu. Gabriel the Turk, Bobby the Serb and Costa the Greek are three friends who used to belong to the same gang. When Gabriel is released from prison, he announces he wants to start over in life, working as a taxi-driver. Costa keeps afloat through petty theft, while Bobby dreams of a career in the local mafia. Despite his girlfriend Alice's resistance and Gabriel's warnings, Bobby gets to know Muhamer, an Albanian mafia kingpin. Meanwhile, Gabriel and Alice fall in love, and begin an affair behind Bobby's back. During Bobby's first job for Muhamer, he takes along Costa as his driver. But the plan goes awry and Bobby is killed. Costa swears he will avenge his friend's death, while Gabriel has to choose between love and friendship.
