Christian Ryltenius started his career at the Swedish studio PennFilm AB, where he worked on the feature film The Journey to Melonia (1989). He studied classical animation at Sheridan College in Canada, before returning to PennFilm as an animator. From 1995, Christian worked abroad on different projects including Space Jam (1996) and Quest for Camelot (1998), before returning home and launching Slugger Film in 2004. In 2008, he was animation director on Tarik Saleh’s Metropia. Recently he directed two feature films featuring Bamse, which proved to be two of the most successful Swedish animated features of all time
