CASTELLS

In Catalonia there is an old tradition: Castells, the formation of human pyramids.These are built by 400 people and reach a height of up to 10 meters. In fierce competition the different groups measure their forces in narrow market-places and demonstrate how perfectly their small communities are holding together.The filmmakers spent one season with the team “Colla Joves” from Valls, a small town near Tarragona. Driven by the rivalry against the other group of the town, the “Colla Vella”, they strive for victory at the final derby. But their high hopes seem to be endangered by a terrified five-year-old child: the top of the pyramid...
