The publication includes the transcriptions of the seminar proceedings with topic: “The role of Festivals in the cinema industry”, which was held as part of the 39th Thessaloniki Film Festival. The relationships between the festivals and the film production, distribution, cinema theaters, European film institutions and the ways the film industry works are extensively analyzed in a discussion among people, who has great knowledge of the industry from many different positions and roles.
