From the 20 to 26th September a Tribute to the Japanese director Shohei Imamura will be held in Athens and from 27th September to 3 October in Thessaloniki.
Shohei Imamura, awarded twice the Palm D’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, is one of the most important living Japanese film directors. To present this event to the Greek audiences the Festival has invited the Positif film critic, Hubert Niogret an expert on Imamura’s work.
This event is organized by the Greek Ministry of Culture and the Thessaloniki Film Festival with the aid of the Japan Film Foundation the Cineteca del Comune di Bologna and the Mostra del Cinema Libero and the support of the Filmcenter.
