BEGINNING OF THE WORKSHOP FOR THE PITCHING FORUM OF THE EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY NETWORK
On Saturday, March 14, at the Tonia Marketaki theater of the port’s Warehouse D, began the workshops of the Pitching Forum organized by EDN, the European Documentary Network in collaboration with the 10th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival - Images of the 21st Century, and the support of the MEDIA European Programme.
The Pitching Forum, in which European and North American countries participate, gives selected professionals from the audiovisual field the opportunity to present and promote their work to television channels from Greece and abroad and the chance to exchange opinions, and develop collaborations in the documentary genre.
As Leena Pasanen, director of EDN said, 14 documentary projects will participate in the Pitching Forum of Saturday, March 15, and on Sunday, March 16, the last day, another six will participate.
Television channel representatives participating in this year’s Pitching Forum are: Christoph Joerg (ARTE, France/Germany), Michalis Lykoudis (ERT Greece), Catherine Le Clef (FORTISSIMO, Holland), Flora Gregory (Al Jazeera English, U.K.), Claudia Schreiner (MDR, Germany), Cynhtia Kane (ITVS, USA), Kathrin Brinkmann (ZDF/ARTE, Germany), Vera Bonnier (SVT, Sweden), Wim Van Rompaey (Lichtpunt, Belgium), Jenny Westergard (ZDF/ARTE, Germany), Costas Spyropoulos (SKAI, Greece), Nicoleta Mocanu (TVR, Romania) and Sandra Whipham (Channel 4).
