EDN AWARD CEREMONY
The IDF (Institute of Documentary Film) received an award for its contribution to the development and promotion of documentaries in the area of Central and Eastern Europe. It is a non-profit organization based in Prague, founded in 2001 by a team of documentary directors and producers. Andrea Prenghyova, IDF representative, accepted the award.
Leena Pasanen, director of EDN, gave out the award, congratulationg Ms Prenghyova on the Institute’s excellent work: “It is my honor to give this year’s EDN award to the Institute of Documentary Film. Its contribution to the development and promotion of the genre is admirable, extremely important to the directors and producers of documentaries in central and eastern Europe. Their activities are a model of innovative work and an example to be copied”, Ms Pasanen said.
Ms Prenghyova received the award with pleasure, expressing her warm thanks for the honor, and stressing the importance of this distinction for the recognition of the Institute’s work.
