3rd CROSSROADS CO-PRODUCTION FORUM AWARDS

 

The Crossroads Co-production Forum, which was held for the 3^rd year in a row in the framework of the 48^th Thessaloniki Film Festival, came to a close on Wednesday, November 21^st, with the presentation of its ΝΟΚΙΑ Nseries award to a draft script, which is accompanied by 10.000 euros.

The winning script was The Policeman written and directed by Nadav Lapid and produced by Edgar Tenembaum and Geraldine Michelot.

 

The Artistic Director of the 3^rd Crossroads Co-production Forum, Marie-Pierre Macia thanked the participants and the President of the Festival, Georges Corraface as well as the Director, Despina Mouzaki for attending. “The draft that was awarded was selected among 14 excellent participants”, she said. The Jury consisted of Stephen Kelliher (Bankside Films), Laure Caillol (Indie Circle) and Christina Stavropoulou (Inkas Film Productions).

 

Director Nadav Lapid thanked the Jury for trusting his work and promised to make the best film he can with the draft: “I am very grateful to the Jury and the Thessaloniki Film Festival. It’s not easy to judge and trust a film only from an abstract”.

 

Despina Mouzaki, the Festival’s Director, congratulated the winner and thanked all of the participants. “It’s very important that you trust us with your projects. I hope these days were productive for you”, she said before thanking the Jury, the Crossroads coordination team, the Media program, the Thessaloniki International Fair, Nokia Nseries, The Ministry of Development, the Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace, Sony and everyone who else contributed to this year’s successful Crossroads Forum.
