FUNERAL BUSINESS

Summer 1997. Albania is in turmoil, with widespread violence and lawlessness creating an atmosphere of constant terror. One night, Andoni fails to come home. His wife Sana becomes more and more fearful as the hours pass. Then, a procession of coffins begins to enter her garden, followed by the dead, who walk along before disappearing into the darkness. One of the dead is wearing a mask of the devil with a tail on his head. Disfigured and magnified by the moonlight, the mask approaches the house and Sana shoots it. To protect her children, she stands guard until the sun rises, then falls asleep...
