Film description
The sculptor Christos Kapralos was born in 1909 in the village of Panaitolio, near Agrinio, and died in Athens in 1993. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts under Umberto Argyros, and sculpture in Paris. With the help of his life’s companion, Souli Kapralou, the documentary follows the steps of the great sculptor, from his birthplace to his hermitage on Aegina, where he lived and worked from the early fifties up until his death. Kapralos’ works in copper, lead, wood, marble, tufa and clay can be found in private collections and public spaces in Greece and abroad, as well as in the two Kapralos museums, in Agrinio and Aegina.
