13th TDF: CoPro Presentation

The 13th Thessaloniki film festival was the right place and the right time for me to attend. I was presenting the future options of collaboration between Israeli filmmakers and Greek mates: "My Sweet Canary" the opening film was the first swallow of this cooperation. This International Israel co production by Roi Sher was one of the project which was selected by CoPro to StoryDoc 2010 – the first Greek Laboratory in Corfu in summer 2010. These days there is an Israeli Geek film treaty in the pipe lines and this is why CoPro – the only marketing foundation in Israel, is here to present future plan of exchange producers delegations. The Israeli filmmakers and the Greek filmmakers have similar challenges to overcome: the limited budgets, the small local market, restricted language, require to look for international partners. The coming agreement between Greece and Israeli will facilitate this kind of partnership. I hope to welcome Greek producers at CoPro market in the near future.
