Meet the Future
Every year Meet the Future, presents to the international industry professionals up-and-coming talents of the Greek film industry. Each year it aims at bringing forth a different branch of Greek cinema professionals.

In 2019, Μeet the Future showcased fifteen (15) film directors of short films which have participated in the last five years at major film festivals around the world (Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Locarno, Karlovy Vary, San Sebastian, London, Rotterdam, New York, Tribeca, Toronto, Sundance, Busan) or have earned an Academy Award nomination and are in the process of developing or completing their first feature film.
These were: Artemis Anastasiadou, Mirsini Aristidou, Emma Doxiadi, Sofia Georgovassili, Vassilis Kekatos, Efthimis Kosemund Sanidis, Konstantina Kotzamani, Stella Kyriakopoulos, Nikos Kyritsis, Jacqueline Lentzou, Vangelis Lymberopoulos, Christos Massalas, Loukianos Moshonas, Thanasis Neofotistos, Neritan Zinxhiria.
In 2020, the program featured eight up-and-coming Directors of Photography who have already worked on short films and maximum one feature film and have been awarded for their work in a Greek festival or participated with their films in a major international film festival (Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Karlovy Vary, San Sebastian, London, Rotterdam, New York, Tribeca, Toronto, Sundance, Clermont Ferrand).
These were: Asimina-Lydia Dionysopoulou, Yannis Kanakis, Yannis Karabatsos, Fili Olsefki, Stelios Pissas, Yannis Simos, Manu Tilinski, Giorgos Valsamis.

In 2021, Meet the Future highlighted seven Film Editors who have worked on at least one feature film, and a short or feature film they have edited has participated in the Competition Section of Thessaloniki IFF or one of the major international festivals (Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Locarno, Karlovy Vary, San Sebastian, London, Rotterdam, New York, Tribeca, Toronto, Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand)
These were: Thodoris Armaos, Stamos Dimitropoulos, Christos Giannakopoulos, Myrto Karra, Livia Neroutsopoulou, Nikos Vavouris, Giorgos Zafeiris.
In 2022, the program presented 7 highly-praised young and upcoming actors and actresses, who have already made their first steps in Greek cinema and have appeared as a leading role in less than 2 feature films.
These were: Klelia Andriolatou, Vangelis Evangelinos, Iosif Gavrielatos, Konstantinos Georgopoulos, Abigael Loma, Efthalia Papacosta and Niki Papandreou.
In 2023, the program focused on storytelling and presented 5 emerging screenwriters based in Greece who are developing their first series projects.
These were: Asimina Proedrou (Writer / Director), George Teltzidis (Writer / Director), Fokion Xenos (Director / Designer), Neritan Zinxhiria (Filmmaker), Orfeas Peretzis (Writer / Filmmaker)
