“Reality does not exist” is the motto of the chaotic and open music band of Aera Patera. Now that some of the band members, tired by the endless chaos, demand some structure, Jimmy - the band’s leader - has to compromise or to battle once more with the reality “that does not exist”. Airland is a handmade, independent documentary. A mixed-technique film about chaos, creation, deconstruction, escapism. A film about failure, about being mistaken.

Ismail and Hakan leave their village for the first time to start working in a gigantic all-inclusive hotel at the Turkish Riviera. They observe the colorful bikinis, the un-emptied plates, the different ways of addressing other people, and gradually discover new opportunities to move ahead in life. All-In explores the coming of age within the European dream, but that comes at a cost. Initial kindness turns into indifference. In All-In, the hotel functions as a microcosm for a more universal story about the loss of innocence, when newcomers try to adapt to our capitalistic first world societies.

Controlled conversations, recording with hidden cameras, dirty records of interrogations and recruitment attempts as well as video tutorials for the officers of the security service – all of these materials are employed to portray the monitored life in Poland under communism. Sometimes grotesque, this picture is underpinned by horror, escalating intuitively with every minute. The dramatic culmination is when the Big Brother is not just watching but violating the intimacy of an ordinary citizen. Before us, there is a terrifying communist panopticon which keeps spying on and recording itself.

Every year the War Cemetery Memorial of Wahala / Chra in Togo (West Africa) hosts the November 11th Remembrance Day Ceremony in memory of the First World War and of the African colonial soldiers who died here in August 1914. But Wahala's history and its name point to another painful past. In 1903 the German colonial administration set up a "correctional settlement" by the Chra river, where people that were considered to be an obstacle to colonial order were obliged to settle. Wahala / Chra: a place where the voice of the ancients resonates with present day pictures.

The International Criminal Tribunal For The Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) was a unique experiment: For the first time, war criminals from all sides of a conflict were tried by an independent and international court. Yet, its legacy is controversial. 30 years after the Yugoslav Wars broke out, and the Siege of Sarajevo, we trace its story and impact, with full access to insiders and the tribunal’s archive.
