Μελετώντας ένα κομμάτι γης 1.000 τετραγωνικών μέτρων σε ένα χωριό της νότιας Ελλάδας, το Γεράκι Λακωνίας, μια διεθνής ομάδα αρχαιολόγων προσπαθεί να ανασυνθέσει το μακρινό παρελθόν της ακρόπολης των Aρχαίων Γερονθρών. Ανάμεσα στα ελαιόδεντρα και στις πέτρες, σε αυτά τα σκληρά τοπία του μεσογειακού Νότου, οι αρχαιολόγοι μαζί με τους κατοίκους του Γερακίου προσθέτουν το δικό τους στρώμα χρόνου στην αιώνια αναζήτηση κατανόησης του παρελθόντος.

Μια διεθνής σειρά ντοκιμαντέρ που ακολουθεί παιδιά από τις τέσσερις γωνιές του πλανήτη στη διαδρομη από το σπίτι μέχρι το σχολείο. Οι προσωπικότητές τους, όπως και τα τοπία στα οποία ζουν, εμφανίζουν μια απίστευτη ποικιλομορφία. Τα παιδιά αυτά μας ξεναγούν στα χίλια κι ένα πρόσωπα της κάθε ηπείρου, ενόσω μοιράζονται μαζί μας τις ελπίδες και τα σχέδιά τους. Μιλούν για τα όνειρά τους αλλά και για τους φόβους τους –παιδική εργασία, πόλεμος και εγκληματικότητα– καθώς υμνούν την ομορφιά της φύσης και τη σημασία της φιλίας. The body of a two-year-old toddler is found at the bottom of a well at a Bedouin village in the Negev Desert. His mother is arrested the very same day, suspected of committing murder. Η ταινία προσεγγίζει τη δυσκολία της τρίτης ηλικίας, τη μοναξιά, τον φόβο του θανάτου και το πένθος, καθώς ο πρωταγωνιστής βιώνει την απώλεια της συντρόφου του μετά από 57 χρόνια κοινής πορείας. Η ταινία καταγράφει τα συναισθήματα που κυριαρχούν, αλλά και τις ενέργειες με τις οποίες ο ηλικιωμένος «πρωταγωνιστής» αντιδρά σε αυτά, προσπαθώντας να υπερβεί τη μοναξιά του.
