Film description
After years as an immigrant worker in Germany, a man returns to his village in Epirus: a cluster of houses in a desolate region, practically deserted after so many years of immigration. The few inhabitants left are women, young children and the elderly. Nobody expects the man, and his own daughter doesn't recognise him. Some days later, with the help of her lover, his wife murders him and buries him in the garden, planting green onions on his grave. She burns his clothes and belongings, and lets it be known in the village that her husband went back to Germany. However, in the village, the immigrant's sudden departure raises suspicion, and soon the police will arrive on the scene...
