The local movie theater that once was the vibrant center of the village of Panayia has been closed for more than 20 years. Two local men try to reopen it, hoping to relive the memories of their youth and bring life back to the village.

MARIOS PIPERIDES

Marios Piperides was born in 1975 in Nicosia, Cyprus. After studying Film Production in the US, he returned to Cyprus in 2002. In 2005 he founded his own production company AMP Filmworks. As a director he has made a documentary and two short films. Smuggling Hendrix is his debut feature as writer/director.
