ΗOME – MY OWN SIERRA LEONE

Α documentary on the subject of identity. Born and raised in Greece to African parents, 14-year-old Mendivee considers herself to be Greek and describes her everyday life in Athens and the difficulties she faces. On a trip to her mother’s homeland, Sierra Leone, she meets her grandmother and relatives for the first time. She observes the conditions under which they live, in the aftermath of a disastrous civil war, and begins to about her identity as an African or a Greek.
