Film description
A woman testifying and accusing, with a passion and tremolo reminiscent of Maria Callas in her most dramatic roles. But we are not in the midst of an Italian opera at the Scala, nor a tragedy by Sophocles staged at the ancient theatre in Epidaurus; this is Thessaloniki, at the end of the 1990s. The woman is Eleni Fotiadou, whose daughter was found dead, a syringe stuck in her body. The police insist that the young woman's death is due to a fatal overdose, but Eva's mother claims that her daughter never took drugs, and that she was murdered. She even names the killer, a petty criminal. Determined to uncover the truth, Eleni Fotiadou pretends to be a prostitute and drug addict, in order to infiltrate drug dealer circles. She collects evidence, wearing a concealed tape-recorder and having friends videotape her. Will her investigation, which is not strictly legal, lead to the conviction of the suspected murderer?
