Film description
Radovanovic originally wanted to make a film about the plight of adolescent girls growing up in post-Communist era countries. He set up a fake casting session for a tights commercial, but afterwards realized that he had captured a microcosm of Serb society. He went on to organize casting sessions for men as well. They were all happy to strip to their underwear, hoping that a role in the commercial will give them a break in life. "It is not about the sex trade. It’s a metaphor for the spiritual and political prostitution taking place in Serbia right now," says Radovanovic. "The casting is a metaphor for getting on spiritually, socially, politically..."
