CAMINO MUSICAL: 9 DAYS OF GALICIAN MUSIC

Camino Musical: 9 Days of Galician Music is a documentary film created by a group of students from the Department of Film Studies of Thessaloniki’s Aristotle University, as a result of a 9-day trip in March 2012 to Santiago de Compostela, the capital of Galicia, an autonomous community in northwest Spain. Encounters with the locals and various bands that have a different approach to traditional Galician music, reveal the special characteristics of this particular town and culture. Accompanied by a bagpipe, a combination of landscapes, people and music unfolds before our eyes. The director’s love for this land, where she lived in the past, is expressed through this musical diary and the Galician word “morrina”.
