The 3rd Evia Film Project comes from July 2 – 6, 2024
Evia Film Project is gearing up for its third summer get-together with the audience. Screenings, masterclasses, actions targeted to professionals of the film industry, workshops for children and students, as well as special music events, make up this 5-day celebration of green cinema in Northern Evia. The 3rd Evia Film Project will be held from 2 to 6 July 2024, in Agia Anna, Edipsos and Limni. Admission to all events is free for the audience. This year, the linchpin between the films and the actions of Evia Film Project is no other than water: the sea, the rain, all water resources, and their life-defining relation with mankind.

The 3rd Evia Film Project yet for another year brings along the most up-to-date VR technologies in Northern Evia. Focusing on mankind and its relation to the environment, three XR films and an original installation will be showcased within the framework of the Immersive: All Around Cinema section of the festival, offering the audience a breathtaking viewing experience.

Six intriguing masterclasses will be held in Agia Anna, from July 4th to July 6th, within the framework of a specialized workshop, tailor-made for the students of the Department of Digital Arts and Cinema of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, based in Psachna, Evia. All masterclasses are free for the audience.

Exciting musical meetings, workshops for children and adults and surprising tours in Northern Evia are in store for the audience of the 3rd Evia Film Project, the green initiative launched by the Thessaloniki Film Festival and carried out with the support of the Ministry of Culture, from July 2nd to July 6th 2024 in Edipsos, Limni and Agia Anna.

We are watching children's films and embark on an adventure seeking a hidden green treasure, at the children's workshop hosted by WWF Greece. In Edipsos, 17-year-old Pablo Soto Gonzalez, filmmaker, screenwriter, actor, musician, choreographer and highschool student at the Athens Art School, will speak to students on how to write, direct and promote a film at the festival circuit and online.
